Irsee Abbey in Bavaria

You can reach the Irsee Abbey from the Sonnenhof in a few minutes by car (Irsee, 14 km). The Benedictine monastery which was founded in 1182 and was completely destroyed at the beginning of the 16th century has always been a center of attraction for lovers of the sciences and arts.

Magnificent Baroque Complex in Upper Bavaria

In 1881 the monastery was reopened as a conference, training and cultural center for the region of Schwaben. In addition to further professional training numerous high-quality events in the areas of music, literature and the arts are also held there.
